Winter Season 2010

Hello and welcome to the 2010 winter catalogue.

Firstly I would like to thank you for your support over the summer season, and my apologies, as some orders were slower than usual to be dispatched. This was the result of a car accident, which slowed down many of my farm activities. Thankfully things now seem to be back on track.

This summer was a much more pleasant experience, both on the plants, and us. We saw near normal rainfall, and very few ‘damaging’ hot days, with no fires. Our garden did quite well, with few plants suffering through the warmer months. Let’s hope next summer is the same.

It is a beautiful sunny day as I write, and I can think of nothing nicer than the warmth of the sun on my back whilst doing some gardening. What a wonderful hobby we have.

Please note that there has been a change of business name from C & M Drewitt to Drewitt’s Bulbs. It would be appreciated that those paying by Cheque or Money Order make them payable to the new business name.

We are now able to send orders to Western Australia. But please note some restrictions apply to what may be sent to WA.. WA orders will be held and sent in a group lot rather than individually and for this reason  may take longer to dispatch.

In this catalogue we have continued to bring you many drought tolerant plants and bulbs. These include an expanded range of rarely offered perennials, a huge new range of tree and herbaceous peonies, an expanded range of Liliums, some fantastic new bulbs, as well as the usual compliment of drought hardy bulbs and shrubs. Hope that you will find something you will enjoy.

The current catalogue may be seen in colour on our Internet site where many colour photos will help make your selection easier. These may be viewed at http//www.drewittsbulbs.com.au

As well as many rare and unusual items available, our aim is to provide good value, quality and service. Please note that many of the rarer items in stock number 10 or less. Please order early to avoid disappointment.

Cheque, money order, direct deposit or credit cards may be used to make payments, (see order form for details).

Cultural notes are supplied with each order.

Bulbs and perennials are despatched from mid June and finalise at the end of August unless sold out.

Please be patient with our backlog of early orders and advise substitutes in case an item becomes unavailable.

It should also be noted that Peony rose, Tree Peonies and Pleione orchids tend to break their dormancy towards the end of Winter and should be ordered as early as possible to avoid missing out. Perennials are best sold in the dead of winter, and should be planted or potted immediately upon receipt.

Please let us know if you no longer require a catalogue or if your address details require updating.

PS: Come and see us at our the Garden Expos we are attending in 2010. We guarantee a wonderful display, and a large range of bulbs and plants, with many bargains to be found!

Regards, Tim Drewitt
