Gardening clubs and societies are about a lot more than growing plants, a great way to meet like minded people and grow your social network, an excellent way to give back to the community through local re vegetation programs as well as an excellent way to learn about gardening, landscape ideas and international gardening events. In Australia many gardening clubs participate or organise gardening tours and trips both to international events and conferences as well as private gardens that are not generally open to the public.
Some gardening clubs and societies also provide access to seed banks and seed exchanges where members can gain access to seeds from otherwise difficult to obtain species.
SomeGardening Clubs are State or regional based - Sydney (New South Wales - NSW), Brisbane (Queensland - QLD), Melbourne Victoria VIC), Adelaide (South Australia - SA), Perth (Western Australia - WA), Hobart (Tasmania - TAS), Darwin (Northern Territory - NT) and Canberra (ACT).
Some Clubs are on an Australia Wide or International base, while others are based on specific facets of gardening, whtever your interests you can find a gardeing group to join that will help with you gardeing knowledge.
