Growing Zucchini

Zucchini are easy to grow from seed and are used in many French, Italian and Greek dishes.

Plant zucchini seeds about 20cm deep. Water twice a week until germination. Thin to two or three plants on germination . Zucchini prefer a moist but well drained soil. Protect from frosts.Zucchine 'Blackjack' is a popular variety.

In general small zucchini have more flavour than large zucchini, so pick them before they grow to large.
