Growing Occa

Occa or NZ Yams grow well in cooler climates. Plant them in spring in a well dug humus rich soil. Occa is planted at 5-7cm deep and can be treated much like poptatoes. Tubers will mature in about 4 months. Harvest Occa once the foliage begins to die back.
