Originally from Queensland and areas of Western Australia Zamia palms do not like frost but thrive in a warm part shaded position. Zamia Palms or Zamia Cycads are used widely in landscaping in Tropical to sub tropical climates. The large trunks make them a real feature in gardens. Like most cycads they require excellent drainage and grow equally well in full sun to filtered light or part shade. Zamia palms can be grown from seed. |
