Pieris japonica saraband is a compact form of pieris japonica reaching around 1m 1.3m with a nice dense growth habit, prefers a humus rich moist but well drained soil.

Pieris saraband prefers a slightly acidic soil, full sun to part shade, but with some protection from hot afternoon sun.

Pruning is generally not required, however light tip pruning after the flowers have finished will help maintain a bushy compact shape.
