Growing Evening Primrose

Oenothera or Evening primrose grow well in full sun in a well drained soil. Flowers apear during summer and autumn. The yellow flowers and green leaves are attractive in the garden. Oenothera fraserii will grow to 40cm, Oenothera missouriemsis is lower growing and spreads a little more.

Remember, not all Oenthera are evening primrose, some Oenothera, such as Oenothera fruticosa are called Sundrops and these have flowers that open during the day.
