Leucocoryne or 'Glory of the Sun' are native to Chile and are suitable to warm climates. Leucocoryne are well suited to the rock garden. Sometimes referred to as 'Glory of the Sun' Leucocoryne are summer dormant. Species include Leucocoryne andes, vittata and purpurea. Leucocoryne do best in a well drained position in full sun and will flower in late spring. Leucocoryne are best planted in Autumn. Leucocoryne will also do well in pots. With flowers in spring to early summer.
