Grow Lights and LED grow lights are used for growing plants indoors or under artificial conditions.

Grow lights are used widely in the hydroponic industry where plants are grown indoors in soilless mediums to provide year round supplies ofplants such as tomatos basil and a variety of herbs.

Grow lights are also used widely in the cut flower industry to provide flowers out of season.

LED grow lights are popular as they seem to last longer and use less power. For salad plants a 7watt light may be sufficient. For plants such as basil perhaps a 12watt LED and Tomatoes up to 21 watt LED. Refer to individual manufactures instructions for accurate instructions.

Remember that an even light is required, something that mimics natural light.
