Dichroa Versicolor plant profile and growing notes

Dichroa Versicolor is an evergreen shrub of similar appearance to hydrangeas and sometimes refered to as the 'evergreen hydrangea'. A little more tolerant of sun and warm conditions with the advantage of being evergreen it is perhaps a little under used in gardens and landscaping.

Dichroa Versicolor does well in a part shaded position growing to 1 - 2 m. Flower color is determined by soil ph, similar to hydrangeas.

A humus rich moist but well drained soil is best with some protection from hot afternoon sun advisable. Also look for Dichroa febrifuga
