Veronica perfoliata or 'Diggers Speedwell'

Derwentia perfoliata (syn veronica perfoliata) or 'Diggers Speedwell' is an attractive low growing clumping shrub with small blue to purple flowers in spring. Requires part shade and a cool moist root run to perform well, but is a tough plant once established. Blue green foliage is an added attraction.

Care and Cultivation.
Old flower heads can be removed to help promote a bushy habit. Can be grown in a pot or container, fertilize with a low phosphorus slow release native plant fertilizer.
