Pterostylis acuminata found in moist area and coastal areas. Pterostylis gibbosa is a very rare species found near Wollongong in NSW, Pterostylis despectans is also very rare. Pterostylis nutens are refered to as the 'Nodding Greenhood' while Pterostylis monticola is the 'Large Mountain Greenhood' and Pterostylis grandiflora is the ' Superb Greenhood'.
