Lophostemon Plant Profile



Lophostemon are small evergreen trees from Queensland but are also found in New Guinea. Growing to nearly 15m, Lophostemon confertus is known as the 'Brush Box' or 'Brisbane Box', and was previously known as Tristania confertus while Lophostemon suaveolens is known as 'Swamp turpentine'.
Lophostemon are not seen as particularly drough tolerant. Lophostemon grandiflorus is found along watercourses in Queensland.
