Hardenbergia are best known for Hardenbergia violacea or 'Happy Wanderer' a tough evergreen climber that lives up to its name. With showy purple/pink to white flowers Hardenbergia makes a great display in late winter to early spring. Hardenbergia can be pruned heavily if required.Found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia Hardenbergia is widespread, a well drained soil and a sunny to part shaded position is best. Hardenbergia Violacea Alba has nice white flowers and can form a ground cover. Hardenbergia comptoniana (picture right) is a vigorous form that works well as a climbing plant |
