| Crowea are related to Boronia and require similar growing conditions. A humus rich moist, but well drained partly shaded to sunny position with protection from wind. Flowers range from white through to red (white are difficult to find in nurseries). Look for Crowea salinga, Crowea angustifolia and Crowea exalataor maybe one of the hybrid forms such as Crowea 'Poorinda Ecstasy' with its pale pink flowers or Crowea 'Festival' (picture right) with darker pink starry flowers. Crowea tend to flower over an extended period, Summer through to Autumn, with lightly scented flowers they are a good garden plant. |
