Beaufortia are often refered to as Bottlebrush or Brush Myrtle. Beaufortia schaueri Pink Bottlebrush, Beaufortia sparsa Swamp Brush Myrtle, Beaufortia sparsa Ross's Pink Swamp Brush Myrtle, Beaufortia squarrosa Sand Bottlebrush. Beaufortia are a small genus found in southern Western Australia. Related to Melaleuca they do not tolerate humidity. Grafted species may be hardier than others. Beaufortia sparsa is known as the 'Swamp Bottlebrush' while Beaufortia squarrosa is refered to as the 'Sandplains Brush Myrtle'. Beaufortia elegans is worth looking for. |
